Remote service for Chandigarh
TrueOrbis does not travel to Chandigarh and has no presence there. We start with a call, set up a secure folder for documents, and do the work in video sessions and remote connections that you control. Our proposal reaches you by email and is signed electronically.
Our working hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00 IST, which line up with a normal office day in the city.
Which rules apply at a Chandigarh address
The Union Territory has its own GST state code, 04. Offices across the boundary in Mohali or Panchkula belong to Punjab and Haryana respectively, so they register under those States, with different codes and labour laws. Check the address on your premises proof before applying.
Within the Union Territory, shops and commercial establishments are governed by the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958, as applicable to Chandigarh. The Labour Department of UT Chandigarh administers it, with the Deputy Commissioner acting as Labour Commissioner.
The parent Punjab Act was amended in 2025, but we could not confirm from an official source whether, or how, those changes apply in Chandigarh. Ask the UT Labour Department what applies before relying on any threshold. We explain these rules but do not file labour registrations.
For approvals involving central ministries, the National Single Window System at nsws.gov.in is open to businesses anywhere in India.
If you run a practice, clinic or start-up
Professional practices and young companies in Chandigarh tend to need a short list of things done properly: a GSTIN when turnover or clients require it, an Udyam certificate for credit or schemes, a website that brings enquiries, and email and devices that someone looks after.
We can take the technology off your desk with remote support on working days, and coordinate the registrations so the same name and address appear everywhere.
Steps in a Chandigarh engagement
- A first call to agree what matters most
- A written scope and quote, accepted electronically
- Documents exchanged through the secure folder
- Filing and build work in shared sessions
- A handover folder with certificates, logins and notes in your name
Common questions
You are in Delhi — can you handle our Chandigarh GST registration properly?
Yes. The application is made online on the national GST portal, and the 04 code follows from your Chandigarh address. We prepare it with you and help draft a reply if the officer raises a query.
Our office is in Mohali but we live in Chandigarh. Where do we register for GST?
GST registration follows your place of business, so a Mohali office registers in Punjab; your home address does not decide it. If you have premises on both sides of the boundary, an accountant can advise whether you need more than one registration.
Does a small Chandigarh office need a Shops Act registration?
The Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 applies in Chandigarh, but recent changes are not confirmed for the UT. The UT Labour Department can tell you what applies to your establishment.
Can you look after our clinic’s email and appointment system?
Yes, remotely. We administer email, user accounts and backups on working days, and can review or rebuild an appointment or enquiry system. Anything involving hardware on your premises needs a local hand.
