If you run a business in Hyderabad, this may be you
Requests that suit remote delivery usually come from businesses with a clear task and nobody with the time to do it:
- A trading or distribution firm close to the GST limit, or one whose buyer insists on a GSTIN
- A manufacturer or supplier filling in vendor forms that ask for Udyam and ISO details
- A home-grown brand that wants to start on Flipkart or Amazon without weeks lost to rejected documents
- A small office whose IT is looked after by whoever happens to have a spare hour that afternoon
Telangana-specific points
For GST, Hyderabad falls under Telangana, state code 36. Everything else about the application — the portal, the forms, the officer’s verification — follows the national process.
Shops and establishments are covered by the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988. An amending Act in 2017 (Act 28 of 2017) introduced provisional registration within 24 hours. The Labour Department handles registration online through its portal at labour.telangana.gov.in. Separately, the central labour codes that took effect on 21 November 2025 carry their own establishment registration, so confirm which one your business needs.
Telangana levies professional tax under the Telangana Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1987. For salaried employees the schedule is nil up to ₹15,000 a month, ₹150 a month between ₹15,001 and ₹20,000, and ₹200 a month above that. Employer registration is through the Commercial Taxes Department at ptax.tgct.gov.in.
Projects that need several state approvals, such as a new factory, go through TG-iPASS, the state’s single-window system, formerly called TS-iPASS.
We do not file Shops Act or professional tax registrations. We explain where they fit so nothing is missed while GST and Udyam are being done.
How remote delivery works from Hyderabad
Since we never travel to Hyderabad, the process is built around tools you already use. Calls happen on video or phone at a time fixed in advance. Scans and certificates go into a shared folder that only the people on your work can open, and the folder remains yours when the work ends.
For technical tasks we connect through a remote-support tool with your permission for each session, and you can end it whenever you like. Consent steps on GST and Udyam use OTPs sent to your phone, and our agreement with you is signed electronically.
- A phone that receives OTPs on the number linked to your Aadhaar
- Scans or clear photos of the documents on our checklist
- A laptop with a steady connection for screen-shared sessions
- Someone on the calls who can make decisions for the business
Common questions
Is it a problem that TrueOrbis is in Delhi and we are in Hyderabad?
Not for the services on this page. Registrations are made on online portals that behave the same from anywhere, and IT work happens over remote access. The one difference is that we cannot come to your premises, so anything that needs hands on equipment is done by your staff while we guide them.
Does my Hyderabad shop need registration under the Telangana Shops Act?
Shops and commercial establishments in Telangana come under the 1988 Act, and registration is made on the Labour Department’s portal. The rules have been revised over the years, so confirm your own case on labour.telangana.gov.in. We do not file this registration, but we can show where it sits next to GST and Udyam.
How much professional tax is deducted from salaries in Telangana?
Under the state’s schedule for salaried people, nothing is deducted up to ₹15,000 a month, ₹150 a month between ₹15,001 and ₹20,000, and ₹200 a month above ₹20,000. Check the Commercial Taxes Department’s published schedule for any change before you run payroll.
We already sell offline in Hyderabad. How do we start on Flipkart?
Begin with what Flipkart asks for: a GSTIN or an eligible exemption, a bank account and a pickup address. We check those with you on a call, register on Seller Hub, choose a fulfilment option and list the first products. Approval and category access are Flipkart’s decision.
