Your afternoon, our morning
By law, standard time in Singapore is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, and it does not change with the seasons. That makes Singapore 2 h 30 min ahead of India throughout the year.
When our office opens at 10:00 IST it is 12:30 in Singapore. From then until about 18:00 your time we are both at work, a window of five and a half hours. Singapore mornings fall before we open, so anything urgent first thing should be raised in writing; we pick it up at 12:30 your time.
The PDPA and working with an overseas supplier
Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 sets a baseline standard for how private-sector organisations collect, use, disclose and protect personal data. It is administered by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), and its obligations include protection and transfer limitation duties alongside consent, notification and access.
How those obligations apply when you engage a supplier in India is for your organisation and its advisers to work out. We fit around your requirements and your own contracts: personal data stays in systems you control, access is granted per person and per task, and development uses synthetic or masked data where we can.
How a Singapore engagement is structured
- Discovery call in your early afternoon to scope the problem
- A written proposal with scope, milestones, timeline, contract terms, currency and payment
- A demo at each milestone in the shared window, with written notes afterwards
- Handover: repositories, infrastructure code, documentation and admin rights confirmed in your name, and our access closed
Accounts and access you can revoke
- Cloud, domain and code-hosting accounts opened by your company, with billing direct to you
- Separate named logins for our team, scoped to the least privilege each task needs
- Production access granted for a defined change window where possible, not left open
- A closing checklist at handover so you can remove every account and key we used
Projects that suit a Singapore–India set-up
The overlap is long enough for working sessions most days, so collaborative work fits well: an engineering team adding CI/CD and monitoring, a startup moving off a hand-built server, or a company replacing spreadsheets with a small internal tool. Round-the-clock operations cover is not part of our standard hours.
Time zones and meeting windows
India Standard Time is UTC+5:30 all year; India does not change its clocks.
| Time zone | Difference from India | Typical overlap |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore Standard Time, UTC+8 | Singapore is 2 h 30 min ahead of India, with no seasonal change | About 12:30–18:00 Singapore time, India’s 10:00–15:30, Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays if your team works then. |
Common questions
Can we reach you in the Singapore morning?
Our office opens at 12:30 Singapore time. Messages sent earlier are read as soon as we start. If your project needs earlier availability, it can be discussed and agreed in the proposal.
Will our data leave Singapore?
Only if you choose to move it. We work inside your own systems and cloud accounts, so data can stay in the region you pick, and our remote access follows your controls.
Can you complete our vendor security questionnaire?
Yes. Send it with your enquiry and we will answer each question accurately, including saying plainly where something does not apply to us.
Do you work on Singapore public holidays?
Our calendar follows our Delhi office, Monday to Saturday. A Singapore public holiday may be a normal working day for us, and the reverse, so milestone dates are planned with both calendars in view.
