Udyam registration (MSME registration) assistance

Help registering your business on the official Udyam portal — the right classification, correct PAN, GSTIN and activity details, and your Udyam certificate.

Udyam registration is how a micro, small or medium enterprise is recognised by the Government of India. The registration itself is free and done online on the official portal by self-declaration, but businesses often get stuck on the details: which Aadhaar and PAN to use, how to describe the activity, or how to correct an earlier registration. TrueOrbis files it with you, checks the details before submission and keeps a clear record of what was registered.

Who it is for

Proprietors, partnership firms, LLPs and companies — manufacturers and service businesses — that need an Udyam (MSME) certificate for loans, tenders, buyers or government schemes.

Signs you might need this

  • A bank, buyer or tender document asks for your Udyam (MSME) certificate
  • You are unsure whether your business counts as micro, small or medium
  • You registered years ago and the details (address, activity, turnover) are out of date
  • You need to print, verify or correct an existing Udyam certificate
  • You were asked to pay a ‘registration fee’ on a website and want to do it properly

How TrueOrbis helps

  • Classification check against the current investment and turnover limits
  • Choosing the right Aadhaar, PAN and GSTIN for your type of business
  • Selecting activity (NIC) codes that match what your business actually does
  • Filing the registration with you on the official Udyam portal
  • Updating, correcting or printing an existing Udyam certificate

How it works

  1. Step 1: Quick eligibility check

We confirm your type of business, the classification that applies and the details the portal will ask for.

  2. Step 2: Details ready

Aadhaar of the proprietor, managing partner or authorised signatory, PAN, GSTIN if you have one, bank and activity details.

  3. Step 3: Filing on the official portal

We fill the form with you; you receive the Aadhaar OTP and confirm each detail before it is submitted.

  4. Step 4: Certificate and record

You receive the Udyam certificate and a short record of what was registered, for future updates.

What you need

Send copies only when we ask, through the secure method we agree — not in the first message.

  • Aadhaar of the proprietor (proprietorship), managing partner (partnership), karta (HUF) or authorised signatory (company, LLP, society, trust)
  • PAN of the business (or the proprietor’s PAN for a proprietorship)
  • GSTIN, if your business is required to be GST-registered
  • Mobile number linked to the Aadhaar, for the OTP
  • Bank account details, business address and main activities

Common questions

Is Udyam registration free?

Yes. The Ministry of MSME states that Udyam registration is free of cost, paperless and digital. If you choose our help, the fee is for our assistance, agreed in writing before we start.

What are the current MSME limits?

From 1 April 2025: micro — investment up to ₹2.5 crore and turnover up to ₹10 crore; small — up to ₹25 crore and ₹100 crore; medium — up to ₹125 crore and ₹500 crore. Both investment and turnover are considered.

Do I need GST registration to get Udyam?

PAN is needed, and GSTIN is needed if your business is required to register for GST. Businesses that are not required to register for GST can register on Udyam without a GSTIN.

Do I need to upload documents?

No. Udyam registration is a self-declaration with no document uploads; the portal uses your Aadhaar, PAN and GST details.

Can an existing Udyam certificate be corrected?

Yes. The portal has an option to update a registration using the registered Aadhaar or mobile number. We can make the changes with you and print the updated certificate.

How long does it take?

Once your details are ready, filing usually takes one to two working days including checks. The certificate is issued by the portal.
